Support to Local Arts Service Organizations Affected by Disasters
In response to the devastation in Southern California due to recent fires, Americans for the Arts is collecting donations to its Emergency Relief Fund. Funds will be used to provide assistance to local arts service organizations located in or serving those areas most affected by the fires to help them to rebuild the arts in their communities. We have been in conversation with our constituents in California and will continue to monitor their situation.
We are currently accepting grant applications from California arts organizations who are located in or serving an area declared a federal disaster by a government agency.

About the Americans for the Arts Emergency Relief Fund
The Americans for the Arts Emergency Relief Fund was established in 2005 to provide timely financial assistance to victims of a major disaster for the purpose of helping them rebuild the arts in their community. Relief funds are distributed directly to local arts agencies or other non-profit arts organizations that provide community-wide services. The funds may be used to assist with their own recovery as well as to provide needed services and funding to local nonprofit arts organizations and individual artists. Relief funds are generated by Americans for the Arts and the charitable contributions of foundations, corporations, governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals from across the country. Contributions to the Americans for the Arts Emergency Relief Fund are tax deductible. One hundred percent of all funds raised will be distributed to local arts service organizations in disaster areas.
