Regional Arts and Cultural Organizations Offering Relief Assistance

American Institute of Architects, California Council

The AIACC and AIA San Diego are committed to helping fire survivors repair and rebuild structures that were destroyed by the fires. Check their website for regional community workshops to assist residents with understanding the design, permitting, and construction process, and how to work with the city and county. The overriding focus will be to help citizens navigate and expedite the permitting process so they can return to their homes as quickly as possible. Following the initial waves of support for this disaster, The AIACC and AIA San Diego will remain involved, working in concert with building and fire safety officials to implement enhanced building technologies, planning, and codes. Please revisit their site for links to important resources in upcoming weeks, including information on workshops and other support.

They also provide a a list of AIA Chapters located in the southern California region to assist fire victims in locating an architect in their area.
