Americans for the Arts today launched a multimedia platform that will serve as a hub for results and information pertaining to its Strategic Realignment Process (SRP), which the organization undertook during 2022. With the SRP completed, the Designing Our Destiny platform represents Americans for the Arts’ new path forward to better serve the arts and culture field.

“I am excited to launch this next phase of Americans for the Arts’ transformation. Designing Our Destiny takes all the feedback and knowledge we have gained from staff, board, stakeholders, and the field, to create a path towards strengthening communities through the arts. We will do this through an equitable advocacy approach that provides a lens through which all our decisions are made, and which will guide this important work. I look forward to continued feedback as we shape our collective future at Americans for the Arts,” stated Nolen V. Bivens, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts.

Americans for the Arts strives to become stronger partners, ensuring representation of all communities. To emphasize this renewal, the platform includes a message from Bivens, testimonials by Americans for the Arts staff and Board of Directors, a narrative about Designing our Destiny, and multiple pathways the organization will pursue as it serves the community in the coming years. Americans for the Arts will continue to update the platform as the work continues to strengthen communities through the arts, and help position the arts and culture sector as a vital driver for the cultural, social, educational, and economic power of the arts, to help solve some of the greatest challenges in America.
